    Drupal to Wordpress Migration

    July 14th, 2005

I have once again migrated to a new CMS. Last time, it was just civicspace to drupal, so it wasn’t a big deal. This time, I have went from drupal to wordpress. Drupal was just too much for what I am doing, and I really like the feature set for wordpress. I’ve managed to migrated users, posts, comments, and downloads. Plus, I wrote a dynamic node redirect system. This way, old links like /node/71 will be auto-mapped to the new posts and send a 301 Permanently moved responses. Hopefully this will keep my search engine results the same. If anyone wants details on how to do this, just let me know and i would be happy post the converter. Otherwise, I’m not gonna bother creating a write up if no one needs such a thing.

    New DNS Control Out

    June 22nd, 2005

DNS Control 1.0.2 has been released.. This one comes with a cool new feature. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to work on this lately, but I will get to the Feature Requests as soon as I have time.

On a side note, I only need one more person to signup and complete an offer for my free PSP. If you like DNS Control, you can help me out by signing up. I have already received a free iPod from this company, so its definitely legit. So signup up and get yourself a free PSP in the process.

The real way to get a Free ipod

    April 12th, 2005

Recently, someone told me about a site which helps you get a freeipod. It actually works which is a shock. To quote them

“No doubt you’ve all heard of the Gratis Network giveaway deals: sign up, complete a (sometimes) free offer, refer a ‘few’ friends, and get a free computer/ipod/TV. Assuming you do everything correctly, you do in fact get the advertised item. The first two steps are relatively easy, but it’s the referral part that’s hard. None of your friends are all that reliable, and they think you’re trying to scam them… that’s where the conga line comes in.

The equal opportunity conga is a list of people who have signed up for the Gratis Network Free ipod offer through THIS LINK. Every 12 hours, the link will change so that a randomly selected person on the list gets the credit for people who sign up. In other words, every 12 hours another person will be getting a free computer once this site picks up some steam.”

So you wanna a free ipod, just signup here
    http://freeipods.com

then email 1macminiconga@gmail.com saying you have completed an offer along with your freeipod link. Thats it!

    Easter Egg Hunt

    March 28th, 2005

We had an Easter Egg Hunt at work today. At 1:45pm Brendan and John kicked us out of the office. After about 15 minutes, we were all instructed to find the hidden Easter eggs. The eggs were all found in about 10 minutes or so. I was the winner with a grand total of 10 eggs. Unfortunately, Mike got the egg with the “You’re Fired!” note in it.
